* Linggo Asri, Kajen, Pekalongan Regency, Central Java.
The emergence of the village of Linggo Asri, Kajen, Pekalongan Regency, according to the story that has spread, long ago there was a linga stone which in Hinduism is a symbol of the god Shiva.
' The area is actually owned by the forestry department, which is predominantly planted with rubber trees, but there are also many pine trees that add to the beauty and the view is so cool that it can be used as a tourist reference and there is still much more that you can explore, such as the history and rides provided at the Longgo Asri tourist attraction.
" With its uphill access, the route to the Linggo Asri tourist area always gets the adrenaline pumping. The beautiful natural scenery and smooth roads make it easy for drivers to navigate.
"You need to pay attention to the condition of your vehicle if you want to visit there. Because of its high location, the route you'll definitely be on is uphill.
" as in the following video, which we and our documentation team deliberately used mobile cameras while visiting the area.
The linga stone is long and is considered a symbol that the village is old and full of historical relics.
Some of the indigenous people still embrace Hinduism and often perform Hindu religious rituals such as Nyepi or praying to the Almighty.
They also do earth alms, around the area of the linga stone.
Not a few Lingga people also adhere to Buddhism and animism.
The spread of Hinduism did not immediately erase the animist beliefs that were originally held by the Lingga community.
However, animist beliefs are starting to disappear in some areas adjacent to Lingga village, such as Kajen (Paninggaran) sub-district, Kedungwuni sub-district and Wonopringgo sub-district.
What is unique, especially in Lingga village, is that people often still carry out the tradition of placing stones which are generally called menhirs.
The stone was placed in a location or place which according to the local community is prone to disaster (haunted).
Local people believe that placing these stones can prevent disasters or what the Javanese call pageblug.
The word 'asri' was given because the people of Lingga village hoped to make their village asri. This name appeared in the 1900s.
The arrival of Hinduism in Lingga village was quickly accepted by the local community because it was similar to the animist beliefs they previously held.
The ritual that the Lingga village community often performs on the stone, after further investigation, it turns out that the Lingga stone is used as a medium for worshipping the god Iswara, which is still related to the god Shiva.
This is proven by the existence of Sanskrit writings written before the 6th century AD.
Even today, the people of Lingga village still often perform religious rituals in the Lingga stone area.
Every time Syiwaratri approaches, the people of Lingga Asri village who still adhere to Hindu beliefs flock to the Lingga stone area to perform puja.
Syiwaratri itself is when the night is really dark or during a lunar eclipse, it is believed that on that night the god Shiva sends blessings to those who are devoted.
Linggo Asri has several tourist destinations such as white water rafting and natural tourism with cool air because it is located in the mountains.
Linggo Asri, surrounded by rubber and pine trees, presents a beautiful and cool view along the road, which also includes the Pekalongan - Banjarnegara provincial route.
Linggo Asri also has a campground that is often used for family events or just vacations.
" If you want to explore and get your adrenaline pumping, maybe this reference could be one of them.
